Frequently Asked Questions

What resolution are the images?

The scale slider controls resolution. 2× gives high-quality images for most uses.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. PDF.js renders pages locally in your browser.

Can I convert only specific pages?

Currently all pages are converted at once. After conversion, download only the individual page images you need. Future updates may add a page-range selector.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Yes. Scanned PDFs are image-based documents — PDF.js renders the embedded scan images exactly like any other page. The output JPG is a direct render of the scanned page at the selected scale.

What scale value should I use?

Use 1× for quick previews, 2× for standard high-quality output (recommended for most uses), and 3× for print-ready or large-format images. Keep in mind that 3× scale produces significantly larger file sizes.

Can I download all pages at once?

Yes. After conversion completes, a Download All button allows you to save every page image with a single click. Individual pages can also be downloaded separately using their own download buttons.

Will text remain readable in the output JPG?

At 2× scale, standard body text is clearly readable in most PDFs. For PDFs with very small text — such as footnotes or captions — use 3× scale to ensure legibility.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

No. PDF.js cannot render a locked PDF. Use the Unlock PDF tool to remove the password first, then convert the unlocked file to JPG.
